Fort Mill South Carolina Strawberry Festival count down has official begun! The festival will be a celebration of spring… and all things strawberry!
The South Carolina Strawberry Festival will kick off on Thursday, April 29, 2010 with the Miss South Carolina Strawberry Festival Pageant at Nation Ford High School from 7:00 to 9:00 pm (1400 AO Jones Blvd)
On Friday, April 30, 2010, the Festival will be in full swing at Walter Y. Elisha Park. Festivities will begin at 6:00 pm and will feature arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, and activities for the entire family including live music “Strawberry Jam,” and the day will end with a fireworks display at 10:00 pm.
Saturday, May 1, 2010 the festival begins again at 9:00 am. Come hear the best local talent during the Colgate Country Showdown, presented by WRHI and Interstate 107. Continue reading
Bring a toy for Happiness to Dolce Lusso Salon December 13
Dolce Lusso Salon and Day Spa has joined forces with United Way & WRHI Radio’s Toys for Happiness of York County. We will be collecting toys and canned goods for children in need on Sunday, December 13th at the Baxter Village location from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Please join us in our efforts to support this great cause by bringing a toy. We will also be collecting canned goods for those children in need.

Hungry Fort Mill Families Turn To The Fort Mill Care Center
The high South Carolina 2009 unemployment rate continues to put a strain on feeding many needy families. The Fort Mill Care Center has been in high gear to help our local Fort Mill families in need.
The Fort Mill Care Center reported in October they:
Gave out 20,090 lbs of food!
Paid out $13,349 in utilities!
Paid out $3,642 for prescriptions!
The Fort Mill Care Center was established in 1967 and is a voluntary non-profit organization of concerned citizens who address the immediate needs of other citizens within the town of Fort Mill, South Carolina. Continue reading
Fort Mill Fall Festival Booth Deadline is October 26th 2009
Fort Mill Fall Festival
Each year, Move Fort Mill Forward holds a Fort Mill Fall Festival on Main Street in conjunction with Halloween.
The Fall Festival is fun and safe for children of all ages. The street is closed off to traffic so your children can Trick-or-Treat up and down Main Street. Most of the downtown merchants stay open later and pass out treats to the children. We have a local DJ playing Halloween music. There is a costume contest for children up to 12 years old.
