If anyone knows where or has seen a paint Horse with a Y brand on his left hip please, please let me know. He has a brown and white body, 4 white stockings, a white blaze and when you look at him from behind it looks like he has a bullseye on his butt. His tail is black and his forelock and front part of mane is black, middle part is white and starts to black again. His given name is Zippo Painted Me, but his barn name was Dakota. He was suppose to be sold back to me if the people who got me did not keep him (this is what gives some horse people a bad name) cause this did not happen. I have a letter thanking me for letting these people “take care” of him for me. I told them that he could note be used for anything but western pleasure because he had had a broken hip and we thought he would have to be put down but after 6 months in a stall he was doing great. I later learned that they were using him for reining and roping BAD on a broken hip and leg, and NOT to be done. He was seen at one of the best hospitals in Ocala or we probably could not have saved him plus he had all the prayers from myself and the children at the barn. I would not have given this hairy baby up for anything but I was going through a divorce and at the time did not have a place for him, now I have acres and acres. I lost my mother in June and was told last week that my little Shih Tzu has cancer and will probably have 2 to 6 mos. months. I need Dakota back as he is the only family I have left. I greive for him daily and need to find him. If anyone can help or knows where he is please, e-mail me at nancysdakota@yahoo.com and let me know if you know where he is.
