The Fort Mill Care Center is in need of donations of new or gently used winter coats/jackets and blankets. Also appreciated would be new warm socks, hats and gloves.

Fort Mill Summer Camp Looking For Volunteers
Empowering Youth Christ Central Summer Camp in Fort Mill, SC is June 6—July 29, 2011 at Steele Street Park. The cost is FREE!!! The park is at 600 Steele St. Park, Steele St., Fort Mill, SC.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am-Noon, Ages • For ALL children ages 8-12 years
EYTSC is a camp designed to not only provide a safe and fun place for children to go during the summer, it also is designed to provide children with socialization skills, basic knowledge on how to handle certain life issues, and how to work together as a group and within the community.
The camp will begin June 6th and finish up on July 29th. We will be open Monday through Thursday, 4 days a week this year but the summer meals program will continue to operate 5 days a week. Last year we served over hundred children and we hope to serve more this year.
In order to accomplish this goal we need your assistance. Some of the obstacles faced in previous years were funding and the lack of volunteers. If there are any groups or organizations who would like to get involve with the camp please let us know. All monetary donations and voluntary support is greatly appreciated and is needed.

Sign Up For Middle School Lacrosse In Fort Mill
Fort Mill Lacrosse Families,
The 2011 Spring Season is almost here and we wanted to pass along the Middle School lacrosse information to all families. While we know many of you have moved onto high school (and some beyond!), please feel free to pass this information on to others you may know who are interested in playing lacrosse at the middle school level.
The Fort Mill Lacrosse Club is fielding both boys (7th and 8th grade) and girls (6th, 7th and 8th grade) middle school teams this year. On-line registration is open now on the FM Lacrosse web site (www.fmlacrosse.com). December dates for in-person registration will be Saturday, December 4th & 11th at the Fort Mill Library located in Baxter – 1st floor meeting room from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Fort Mill Care Center Families In Need Increasing
Judy with the Fort Mill Care Center says the number of clients is really up lately…
In July the Fort Mill Care Center had 41 NEW clients..
In August they had 50 NEW…. those are some BIG numbers for any one month!
During the month of August The Fort Mill Care Center had 591 families pass thru our doors for various reasons, and that is NOT counting the number of people that came in on Mondays to sign up for the Carolina Community Actions LIHEAP program…. Nor is that counting how many came to the 6 “free food” give-aways in August.
